Unfortunately, we don’t offer a Pilate class.
I would love for us to have offered a Pilate class or even Zumba. But, as of the moment that we made this blog, we haven’t found an instructor yet. One who is passionate about how we represent our culture, our vibes, and how we make an amazing experience like what we offer in Salsa and Bachata
Fitness is such a beautiful journey, if that’s what you’re looking for. For me, it started about eight months ago when I decided that I was tired of waking up in a body that I was not proud of. At that point, I weighed 190-192 pounds for about two or three weeks in a row.
I just kept waking up and not enjoying my body, looking in the mirror and not being happy with it. I wanted to make a drastic change. So, I started working on myself by first following a strict diet plan. I did intermittent fasting and calorie restrictions. And from there, I kept working and working. Now, six months later I lost 41 pounds, and I love the way my body feels right now. I love the way that I move inside my body. The confidence, the posture and the mental focus that I have gained from losing all this weight have been an incredible journey.
So for you, who’s looking to be more healthy, to take care of themselves, it’s beautiful that you want to do Pilates or any of the other fitness-related types of classes like Zumba for example. So even though we don’t offer it right now, what I would encourage you to do is look at Salsa.
Salsa is a very active and energetic dance. Outside of the classes where you would take a class to learn the moves, you can go out to the socials and dance for 2-3 hours, burning a ton of calories. You’re going to sweat a lot and you’re going to be really having fun. Two, on the mental side of it, you’re going to get the benefit of being part of a fun culture, making friends, feeling like you belong.
So, I wish I could say that we offer Pilate or Zumba right now. We will at some point later on, when we find instructors that we’re passionate to promote at our school. Until then, definitely, whatever you’re pursuing with fitness or health, keep going! We might not have offered it now, but we’ll offer it in the near future. In the meantime, if you’re still looking to join a school, then definitely check out Salsa, even Bachata. Any type of dance where your body’s moving is a lot better than doing nothing.
