No! You’re not too old!

Honestly, I think if you’re asking that question, you’re really worried about two things. The first thing you’re worried about is not fitting in because everyone else you dance with will be little kids. The second thing you worried about is that because of your age you can’t keep up with the class.

Let me clear everything up.

One, our average age for students is between 28 and 40 but only 65% of our students fall in that range. We have younger students and more mature students. The most important thing to feeling like you belong is you accept yourself, you accept your life experience, you accept your age, and you come in. What makes it easier are our instructors, because our instructors create an environment of fun, openness, and more importantly, vulnerability. Our instructors make sure that you, no matter your age, feel like you belong here. So, don’t worry that you’re going to look like you’re out of place because you’re not. Your place is here.

The second worry you’re going to have is because of your age, you can’t keep up with the class. You don’t have to worry that you’re going to fall behind. Because in our school, you get an instructor, you get an assistant to the instructor, and you get four to six volunteers. The volunteers are either walking around when the music is playing, giving advice, or they’re dancing with all the single students who are rotating. There is a lot of hands-on help.

Our biggest priority is to make people who are adults feel like they can dance. Whether you have two left feet, whatever your age is, we make sure that you feel like you belong on the dance floor. Embrace the discomfort you’re experiencing because once you come out on the dance floor, you’re going to have an amazing time.

If I meet you in person I could tell you a million stories about people who are in their late 70’s, early 80’s who’ve taken our classes. They have completed all the way up to level six and have had a great time.

All in all, accept the mature, beautiful person that you are. Sign up for a class and join us on the dance floor.
