Why dance Bachata?

Maybe you’ve seen some YouTube videos of people dancing Bachata, or your friend is taking classes, and it’s trying to convince you.

Now, you’re curious. Why is Bachata so popular? And why should you start dancing now?

Here are at least four reasons to learn Bachata.

Reason #1: Bachata is beginner friendly.

Even if you have two left feet, you can learn Bachata. It’s easy and a great confidence booster for anyone who’s never taken a dance class.

The rules of this dance are straightforward. You have three steps that you do, lateral line with a tap with your toes, and then you rinse and repeat the other way.

The beats are steady, and they’re easy to hear. Anyone can pick it up.

So if you thought you could never dance, especially dance with others. Bachata will prove you wrong. Anyone and everyone can dance Bachata

Reason #2: Bachata will help you make new friends.

Especially as an adult, it’s hard to make new friends once you leave school. So many times, we get stuck on the daily grind.

You are going from home to work with limited opportunities to develop enough personal connections in your life.

If you feel like that sometimes, Bachata is the way to go.

When you take Bachata dance classes, you trust yourself in a beautiful world where everyone is friendly. Dancers are looking to connect to share the dance experience.

I love Salsa, yet I can’t help but find that Bachata dance community tends to be much more open and friendly.

So if you want to make friends and connect with kind people who feel like family, that’s another reason you start dancing Bachata.

Reason #3:  You don’t need a partner to join our Bachata Classes.

We will partner you up if you don’t have a dance partner. You can dance with all the other single students in our classes.

For example, in our Bachata level one class, our school works on a curriculum base, which means we don’t do drop-ins.

This practice helps us ensure that the ratio of men to women is even. So everybody has someone to dance with.

What it’s fantastic is that people come for a dance class, but they stay for the friendships and the connections they make in class.

Reason #4: Bachata is good exercise.

I don’t know about you, but I never really enjoyed going to the gym or working out. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like to be active.

Dancing Bachata helped me be much more active than any other fitness activity. Also, it allows me to be in constant contact with fun-loving people.

And so, if you want to be more active, Bachata is your gateway. Try dancing for two or three hours and tell me you don’t burn a bunch of calories and do thousands of steps.

And the best part, it doesn’t feel like a chore; it is pure fun.

Bachata is a smart way to be healthy because it gets you out of your home and encourages you to be active and part of a positive environment.

I can’t wait to welcome you to our big family, have you come in week to week, have fun, connect with new friends and let loose to amazing Latin songs. Click here to check our current schedule.
