We would love to have song requests on any of our socials whether it is from one of our students or not.
Here is a basic run down.
Please email us a 1 week before the social. We create our playlists on Sundays for the coming Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday socials. So we ask a week in advance for your requests.
The other thing that we ask for is two requests per social. This gives the opportunity for us to be a little more creative with the experience we want to create. Also, it makes it fair for other people to make requests.
We have socials on Wednesdays which is our Bachata social. We have our Saturday socials and we have our Sunday socials.
Iff you’ve got a request, we usually respond to you within 24 hours, and we absolutely can do it! If it’s a little bit late, the same request on Monday and you want the song played for Wednesday the same week, we’ll just explain to you that you have to wait because the lists have been created. 😉
When we create our playlist, we post the whole song list. So once we make the list it’s one big massive MP3 file that has three hours worth of music. It just makes it easier without any problems of running into having to do the crossfades. The point is, once we make the list we can’t do it again.
When we recreate the whole list, it would take us hours of work. So when you do request a song and it’s a little bit late, it’s okay, we can do it for the next social.
Also, we encourage the students when you come to the social, take a picture of the playlist that we have posted if you’d like any of the songs.
