All of our socials are open to everyone, so yes, absolutely!
The way our socials work is we have three socials every single week. We have a Wednesday Bachata Social. Bachata is the sexy one. It’s from 10:00 PM to 12:30 AM every single Wednesday outside of holiday at our Empress Walk, our main location.
On Sundays, we have our Salsa socials from 7:00 to 10:00 PM that’s every Sunday except long weekends. So if it’s a statutory holiday, we are closed for that long weekend and on Saturdays, we have our parties.
On Wednesdays and Sundays are what we call our socials, which means people come out, they just come dancing. On Saturdays, we have parties because we do lessons, so we alternate between Salsa and Bachata and we have one of our newest family member salsa bachata parties, it’s called salsa versus bachata. Here we do a Salsa lesson and a Bachata lesson that is open to anyone. Then we follow it by music where it’s three salsa, three bachata, three salsa, three bachata and so forth. Just to make sure that everybody who loves salsa or bachata come together on one dance floor.
The biggest tip I have for you is to make sure that the friend that you bring knows how to dance at least a little bit. One of the worse experiences to have is to come out to one of our socials Wednesdays or Sundays or any social, and you don’t know how to dance. So you do want to make sure that your friend knows at least their basics of salsa or bachata just to make it a better experience for them and for everyone else.
Otherwise, absolutely! Bring your friends, bring your neighbors, bring your family members, bring total strangers and come and join us. You do not have to register for our socials. You come in at the moment, bring cash and bring the smile. Honestly, that’s all you need, its super low maintenance.
One of the most rewarding things about socials is for four or five minutes of every song you get to just connect with one person and feel like you’re just part of something bigger. It’s amazing and we can’t wait for you to come out to our socials to experience all that.
