We actually do Merengue and Bachata in Salsa Nightclub Level 1!
We call it Salsa Nightclub Level 1 because when you go to a nightclub you do hear Merengue. Merengue is known for is that hard, awesome and energetic. Then we switch over to Bachata which is the sexy, four-beat dance. You sway and you’re really connecting heart to heart with your partner. Then, the Salsa is the energetic, loud one, the one you hear everywhere. So, you actually get all three dances in Salsa Nightclub Level 1!
So how does the class look?
The first hour of your class you’re going to be learning Merengue, two beats. It’s also a great way to build some confidence. Then we switch it up and go to Bachata for the next hour. Then the remaining 6 to 7 hours is strictly Salsa.
What we want for you is when you go to a nightclub, you go to a Latin nightclub and you hear Salsa music, you’re dancing. But when you hear Merengue and Bachata you know at least the basics. So you’re not just sitting on a bench when someone asks you to dance.
Yes, you will learn Merengue and Bachata in Salsa Nightclub Level 1. We do a general introduction and if you want to get good at it, take our Bachata classes. However, as of the moment this video was recorded, we don’t have Merengue classes strictly but we hope that we do.
