I have had the amazing pleasure of traveling to Latin countries and none Latin countries and no matter where I travel I can find at least 1 club I can dance Salsa in.

It’s the best decision I have ever made when I started dancing Salsa.

You can go to South Korea, Ecuador, Italy, Russia, United States, China, Turkey, Germany, Spain (I mean obviously), Poland, Netherlands, Japan, Sudan, Algeria, France…Almost anywhere and you can find a Salsa club or a restaurant that plays Salsa music and people gather to dance.

The only exception maybe is…North Korea but in my heart of hearts I believe even there, people dance in their homes.

Knowing how to dance Salsa means that you don’t have to speak the local language but your body will speak the universal rhythm.

You just smile, extend a hand to a dance partner and of you go. Getting lost in the Latin rhythm, feeling a deep connection to another human, feeling like you #belong.

The Salsa community is so warm and friendly, welcoming, safe as well. I lost count the number of times I have left my cellphone, wallet unattended and went dancing, coming back to find it still there.

People are so friendly because everyone is there to just have fun, to connect and let loose.

It’s one of the most transferable dances you can learn. Of all the ones I have learned, Tango, Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, Kizomba. It’s one that opens the most doors to you.

So what are you waiting for, come and join our growing family!

Not in Toronto but reading this article. Find a local Salsa school and start!

It’s the best decision you will make.
