Couples Salsa Dancing

Every couple should be Salsa dancing. It’s an amazing way to connect with each other, have fun together and so much more. The point is for just 1-2 hours a week a couple commits to just each other, to have fun and be a…couple.

Here are 3 reasons why Salsa Dance is the best Date idea!

Communication

One of the biggest predictors of a successful relationship in the long term is the communication styles of the partners. We hear it all the time “If ___ would just listen better.” Couples love Salsa dancing because it helps teach both partners how to communicate and listen better. You have a leader and a follower. One person learns to communicate better and give signals (leader) and one person learns to listen and be patient (the follower). I have seen couples argue and get frustrated with each other at the beginning but by the end of Salsa Nightclub Level 1 really connect with each other. Be patient, kind, and loving with each other. It’s really beautiful

Turn off the distractions

There is so much noise with our cellphones, emails, and computers. Salsa dancing helps you turn off the noise and distractions (including kids) to focus on just each other. It’s a form of couples therapy without the crazy expensive costs and at the end you are laughing as you leave a class and not crying. When you are in class, you are IN CLASS. There is no cellphone, work calls, kids asking for something, it’s just the two of you. That’s how the song goes right? “Just the two of us”

Commit weekly

My mom taught me a great lesson when I was young. It’s not the special anniversaries that matter but the things you do regularly for your partner. Another reason why couples should Salsa dance together. You are committing to something weekly where both of you are having fun. Every week you say “Hey, the only thing that matters is you. Let’s celebrate our relationship!” Who wouldn’t love that? I have the great pleasure of seeing couples every week fall in love with each other over and over again.
